How To Unlock Maleficent In Disney Dreamlight Valley

To unlock the iconic evil queen, Maleficent, as a villager in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you must successfully complete her final story quest, "Maleficent's Demise," within The Unwritten Realms. This quest is the culmination of a series of challenges to help Maleficent escape an erasure process and return to Storybook Vale.

Disney Dreamlight Valley: How To Unlock Maleficent

Initiate "Maleficent's Demise": This quest begins after you've completed the two preceding puzzles in The Unwritten Realms and obtained Maleficent's first two "anchor moments."

Locate the Missing Portal: Head to the upper floor of The Unwritten Realms and attempt to summon a portal. When it fails, speak with the nearby Quill. The Quill will sarcastically suggest you either "figure things out" or fill out a "100-page-long form."

Fish Out the Portal: The clue "figure things out" refers to using your Fishing Rod. Look into the nearby pool of water; you'll be able to fish out the missing portal from it.

Enter the Portal: Once retrieved, enter the portal to access the final puzzle area. This is where you'll face the "brave knight's path."

How to Clear The Brave Knight's Path in Disney Dreamlight Valley

This puzzle requires you to manipulate weapon racks to create a clear path for a knight statue. You'll move through three distinct rooms.

Room 1:

• Stand on the left side of the knight statue.
• Push both weapon racks forward to clear the path leading to the next room.

Room 2:

• Go to the knight's right side and push the small weapon rack forward.
• Next, stand next to the statue and push the other small weapon rack down.
• Finally, the two long racks in this room can be pushed from their left side to fully open the knight's path to the third room.

Room 3:

• Upon entering, first, push all three small racks on the right side of the statue up towards it.
• Then, go to the left side and push the remaining two weapon racks to fully clear the path for the knight.

Completing the Quest and Unlocking Maleficent

Retrieve Maleficent's Third Anchor Moment: Once the path is clear, proceed forward to find and grab Maleficent's third anchor moment.

The Lorekeeper's Message: On your way out of the puzzle area, a Quill will relay a message from The Lorekeeper. This message will surprisingly urge you not to stop Maleficent's erasure process, claiming she is causing sickness in the Vale.

Return to Maleficent: Head back to Maleficent in The Unwritten Realms. Despite The Lorekeeper's warning, hand over her third anchor moment to her. This action will free her from The Unwritten Realms.

Welcome Maleficent to the Valley: Once back in the Library of Lore, speak with The Lorekeeper again.After this conversation, you can find Maleficent and officially welcome her as a new villager in Disney Dreamlight Valley. She will then move into her castle in the Beanstalk Marshes.

Start "The Missing Princess": Speak with Maleficent one last time after she's moved in to trigger "The Missing Princess" quest, which will begin your search for Aurora.
