In Disney Dreamlight Valley, the Star Path is a series of timed events that offer exclusive rewards through a variety of duties. One of the recurring and most puzzling duties for new players is "practice mine-fulness." This task uses a clever wordplay that can be misleading, but the solution is a simple activity you already perform regularly in the game.This guide will explain what "practice mine-fulness" means, how to complete the duty, and offer some tips to make the process easier.

What "Practice Mine-fulness" Means

Despite its name, "practice mine-fulness" has nothing to do with meditation or the mind. It is a play on the word "mining." The task requires you to go mining and collect a specific number of gems.The key thing to remember is that only items from the "Gems" category count toward this duty. Materials like Coal Ore, Stone, Iron Ore, Copper, or Zinc will not progress the task. You can mine any rock node in any biome, but the ones with a visible, colored gem sticking out of them are guaranteed to drop a gem when you hit them.

How to Complete the Duty

For the Retro Roadtrip Star Path, you must mine a total of five gems to complete the "practice mine-fulness" duty.

Here's how to do it:

• Equip your Royal Pickaxe.
• Go to any biome with rock nodes.
• Use your pickaxe on the rock nodes to mine for gems.
• Once you have mined five gems, the duty will be completed.

Upon completion, you will be rewarded with 15 Star Path Tokens, which you can use to unlock various exclusive items in the event's reward track.

Tips for Finding Gems

Since finding a gem is a matter of chance, here are some strategies to make the process faster and more efficient:

• Target the right biomes: Focus on mining in areas with a high concentration of rock nodes. The Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, and Sunlit Plateau are excellent choices for this task.
• Look for guaranteed nodes: While any rock node can drop a gem, prioritize the ones with a glowinggem visibly embedded in them. These nodes have a 100% chance of dropping a gem.
• Use a potion: You can craft and use either a Miracle Pickaxe Polish or an Even More Miraculous Pickaxe Polish. These potions are applied to your Royal Pickaxe and increase the number of gems that drop from mining, which can help you complete the dutymuch faster.
• Bring a companion: Invite a character with a mining bonus to join you. While the bonus gems they find won'tcount toward the Star Path duty, it will help you collect more resources in general, making your time spent mining more productive.
