In Disney Dreamlight Valley, the Dreamlight Duties page offers a wide variety of tasks that challenge players to earn exclusive rewards. While some duties are straightforward, others are disguised with vague, cryptic titles. "Embrace the Blues" is a perfect example, as its name provides little insight into what you need to do.This guide will demystify the "Embrace the Blues" duty, revealing its requirements, its reward, and offering tips on how to complete it efficiently.

What "Embrace the Blues" Means

The "Embrace the Blues" duty is a clever play on words that refers to the newest villager, Sadness. To complete this task, you must:

• Initiate a hangout session with Sadness.
• Remain in the hangout session with her for a total of 120 minutes, which is two full hours.

The time does not have to be completed in a single session, as the game will track your progress over multiple hangout sessions.

How to Complete the "Embrace the Blues" Duty

To begin this task, you must first have Sadness unlocked and residing in your valley. If you haven't done so yet, you'll need to complete aseries of quests to recruit her. The prerequisites include:

• Unlocking the Inside Out Realm.
• Completing the "Emotional Rescue" quest.
• Completing the "Out of the Blue" quest.
• Completing the "Dream On!" quest. (Joy is unlocked during this quest.)
• Completing the "Get Up and Glow" quest.

Once Sadness is in your valley, simply approach her and select the "Let's hang out!" option to start the timer.

The best way to make the two hours pass quickly is to engage in other activities. You can:

• Work on her special role: If you assigned Sadness a bonus role (like gardening or mining), youcan use this time to gather resources, which will also increase yourfriendship level with her.
• Complete quests: Usethe hangout session to work on Sadness's or Joy's friendship quests,such as "Create a Bear," "The Fortress of Saditude," "Dream a LittleDream," or "Storm's A-Brewin'!".
• Tackle daily duties: You can also use this time to work on other duties from the Star Path or your Dreamlight page.

As long as Sadness is officially hanging out with you, the time will count toward the total.

"Embrace the Blues" Duty Reward

Upon completing the "Embrace the Blues" duty, you will be rewarded with the Fog Horns Hockey Uniform, a full-body outfit. This uniform is a direct reference to Riley's hockey team in the Inside Out films and is a unique cosmetic that stands out from other outfits in the game.
