While it's not the exotic version, it's still great to have with you at all times for any type of content. However, obtaining it will require a lot of effort, patience and time. But if you have the right gear and a good loadout and have finished most of The Final Shape's campaign, you're almost ready to add this weapon to your arsenal.
There are a few steps you need to follow to get this classic weapon. Before going further, here is a short list of checks you need:
Because the Ergo Sum quest starts as soon as you reach the Lost City and is easy to follow, we skipped it. However, once you're done with that, you can start searching for regional chests throughout the country. It is important to note that on your map, chests are marked with a cross. However, they are still a little difficult to find, so we will go over each one of them.
For the first chest, head to the eastern part of The Landing until you see an area with hanging bridges. Jump behind the waterfall by indicating its location. The waterfall is behind the chest. The second chest is located near the center of the map. Follow the next mark on your map until you find a small cave. Jump into the hole after entering. Land on a ledge where the chest is with your double jumps.
The fast travel point is near the third and final chest in The Landing. Teleport there and turn right until you see a waterfall. Place tree branches and leaves in front of the building. Jump onto the building that moves away from the environment. At the end of the building you will find the chest.
The first chest is located in front of the fast travel point if you are heading to The Blooming. Head towards the coast, where a black sphere and a group of enemies are floating in the sky. Find the chest hidden next to a cliff if you open the wall. Travel south from the first chest location until you see a large tree for the second chest. You will find the chest when you climb to the top.
At the eastern end of the area is the final The Blooming chest. You must specify the area you visited during the campaign. However, once you reach the first clearing, grab the right wall and continue climbing until you see the chest on a rock.

How To Get the Legendary Khvostov in Destiny 2?

- Complete the initial step of the Ergo Sum mission.
- In The Pale Heart, discover the nine regional gestures.
- Until you unlock the Alone in the Dark quest, you must complete the Convalescence questline.
- Recover six bits of cysts.
- Unlock the chest as you head to the Impasse.

The dead end road
The first chest is easily found. Until you see the temple that appeared during the campaign, head west. Find the chest on the way up. For the second one, turn left from where you found the first chest and continue until you reach a place that looks like a quarry. You'll see the chest on a ledge if you jump down.
The Impasse Lost Sector is near the last regional chest you'll need for the legendary Khvostov in Destiny 2. You may remember that the campaign took you there near some stones shrouded in purple light. After climbing on it, jump to the place shown in the image: the chest inside that small cave.
Alone in the dark routine
To get the five extra bits for the mythical Khvostov in Destiny 2, you must first unlock the Alone in the Dark quest. To achieve this, you must follow the Convalescene quest line, which begins with Convalescene: Bound to Root and concludes with Healing: Red. The first objective is to reach The Forgotten Deep sector. The second must open the overthrow chests in The Pale Heart areas. You can finish this mission after completing all the overthrow stages. To unlock Alone in the Dark, you must finally do Sword Cyst.
You must wait until you achieve specific objectives once you unlock the Alone in the Dark mission. Below we will detail each mission you need and where you will find your weapon components.
The location of the search component
As an aerial, complete the mission normally and head towards the exit. After passing through the lava, go to the small cave and discover the mess containing the drill bit.

| Searing Light | Complete the mission and enter the room that has a purple glow. Your objective is in the room to your left. |
| Slayer | Finish the mission and head inside the cave full of roots. You can find the bit behind a tree in a small body of water. |
| Sword Cyst | This might be the first bit you get, but if you missed it, play the Cyst again until you reach the room with platforms and drawbridge. Head to the far back, and you’ll spot a small roo |
Opening Khvostov's Chest
The last step to getting your Legendary Khvostov in Destiny 2 is to go to The Impasse and prepare for a souvenir. Enter the familiar building from the game's tutorial after touring the area. To get your automatic rifle, follow the halls of the place and loot the chest.
