- Step One: Go to the options menu: The first step in turning off crossplay in Dead by Daylight is to navigate to the options menu. The options menu is located in the main menu, which can be accessed by clicking the "play" button on the home screen. Once you are in the main menu, click the "options" button located at the bottom right corner of the screen.[Insert screenshot of home menu with options button highlighted]
- Step Two: Toggle crossplay: After accessing the options menu, the next step is to find the crossplay option and turn it off. To do this, navigate to the "gameplay" tab, which should be the first tab on the left-hand side of the options menu. Scroll down until you find the "crossplay" option, which will be labeled as "enable crossplay" with a checkbox next to it.[Insert screenshot of options menu with crossplay label and checkbox highlighted]
To turn off crossplay, simply uncheck the box next to "enable crossplay". Once you have done this, crossplay will be disabled, and you will only be matched with players on the same platform as you. Keep in mind that turning off crossplay may increase queue times for matchmaking, as there will be fewer players to match with.
