In Dauntless the giants and pieces of equipment are usually neutral, although they also have certain elements, which can be either for or against, since it can make both weak and strong against other elements.

Neutral: This isn't strong or weak against any element, as the name implies is totally neutral.

Blaze: Their weapons are pretty strong against the giants of frost. The armor is strong against the giants of fire, although it's weak against frost.

Frost: His weapons, like Blaze's, are strong against the fire giants. And his armor is strong against the giants of frost, but weak against the flames.

Shock: Use weapons against giant terra. Like the Blaze and the Frost, the shock armor is strong against shock and weak against the ground.

Terra: Use shock weapons against giant terra. The impact armor is strong against shock and weak against terra.

The first thing you should concentrate on is to create and improve a set of neutral armor and weapon. Obtaining a set of more powerful weapons and armor is usually not that easy. By having an updated neutral set, you will have something to support you if you don't have a high level team.
