The first thing you have to do is to unlock this ritual. To do this you will have to head to Darkwoods, where you will have to eliminate the second mini-boss.

Then you will find The One Who Waits, an NPC who will give you a talent called Sacrifice of the Flash.

To make the sacrifice you will have to go to your chapel, in the triangular building inside your cult. Here you will find several options, among them is "Sacrifice" which is the one we are interested in. Select the option and choose the follower you want to sacrifice.

And the better the follower you choose, the more rewards his sacrifice will give you. For doing so you will receive an amount of EXP, as well as an increase in your health, damage and fervor, new weapons and curses.
