We have made an explanatory guide to tell you How to rent skins in Counter-Strike 2, let's see.
The recent update to Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) that introduces a rental system for Kilowatt Case skins has generated a significant impact on the game's economy and on players' consumption strategies. This innovation, while novel in the context of CS2, is not entirely foreign to the video game industry, where similar rental models have proven successful in other titles.

How to rent skins in Counter-Strike 2?

The skin rental system in CS2 is relatively simple: players who own a Kilowatt Case and a corresponding key can choose to rent all the skins in the case (except the knives) for a period of seven days. Once the period is over, the rented skins automatically disappear from the player's inventory.
Implementing this system presents both advantages and disadvantages that must be considered:

Advantages

  • Accessibility: Allows players to enjoy high-value skins without needing to make significant investments.
  • Flexibility: Provides the ability to experiment with different skins without committing to a permanent purchase.
  • Completing sets: Facilitates the temporary completion of skin sets for specific events or tournaments.

Disadvantages:

  • Limited customization: Rented skins cannot be customized by players.
  • Lack of ownership: Rented skins are not transferable or tradable, as they are not owned by the player.
  • Limited duration: The seven-day rental period may be restrictive for some players.

What skins can be rented in Counter Strike 2?

The Kilowatt Case is the only selection of skins that can currently be rented, giving you 17 different skins to potentially use.
