How to Check Chrono Odyssey Server Status
Exploring the vast open world of Chrono Odyssey can be thrilling, but traversing its enormous landscapes on foot is slow and stamina-draining. Sprinting helps, but your stamina depletes quickly, and the speed boost is minimal. Fortunately, unlocking a horse significantly improves mobility, allowing you to navigate the map with ease.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through the quickest way to get your first horse in Chrono Odyssey, including the exact location, quest details, and tips to tame your mount efficiently.
The first major town you encounter has a stable, but you won’t get a horse there immediately. Instead, you’ll need to journey southeast until you reach Santove’s Discovery. If you’re coming from Shady Vale, head south to find this location.
Once there, look for Medina, the stablemaster, who will give you the "Gone With the Wind" quest. This mission sends you east to capture a snow-white horse, which will become your first mount.
When you arrive at the quest area, you’ll see several pure white horses roaming freely. Approach one slowly and press the interaction key (E on PC) to begin calming it. However, horses will flee as soon as you start, making taming tricky. Here are two proven methods to succeed:
If you’ve unlocked the Temporal Isolation skill, activate it just before calming the horse. This ability freezes time, preventing the horse from escaping and making taming effortless.
If you don’t have Temporal Isolation yet, follow this strategy:
First Attempt: Start calming the horse—it will run away.
Second Attempt: Chase it and immediately begin calming again.
Horses have a short cooldown before fleeing again, so acting quickly ensures success on the second try.
After successfully taming the white horse, return to Medina to complete the quest. Once done, you’ll officially own your first horse, drastically improving travel speed across Chrono Odyssey’s expansive world.
Upgrade Your Horse: Some stables may offer upgrades or better mounts later.
Unlock Fast Travel Points: Discovering key locations can reduce backtracking.
Manage Stamina: Even with a horse, conserve stamina for combat and exploration.
