- Step 1: Open the Library on the Left Pane of Steam Deck: The first step is to open the library on the left pane of Steam Deck. Once you have opened the library, you can proceed to the next step.
- Step 2: Select Chivalry 2 and Press the Settings Button: Select Chivalry 2 from the list of games and press the settings button (gear icon) to the extreme right. This will open a drop-down box.
- Step 3: Head to the Compatibility Tab: From the drop-down box, select properties, and head to the compatibility tab.
- Step 4: Untick the Option to Force the Use of a Specific Steam Play Compatibility Tool: If you have enabled the option to force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool, you need to untick it.
- Step 5: Head to the General Tab: Now, head to the general tab where you will see a text input box under launch options.
- Step 6: Insert the Command: Insert the following command under the launch options: eval $(echo “%command%” | sed ‘s/Chivalry2Launcher.exe/TBL/Binaries/Win64/Chivalry2-Win64-Shipping.exe/’). This command will help you to launch the game on Steam Deck.
- Step 7: Switch to Desktop Mode: Additionally, you can switch to the desktop mode by pressing the Steam button. There, you can copy the command from above or the Proton DB’s site (link).
- Step 8: Paste the Command and Switch to Gaming Mode: Once you have pasted the command, switch to the gaming mode. You’re now ready to play Chivalry 2 on Steam Deck.
