Even on the wild, untamed planet of
Kairos, money makes the world go 'round. In
Borderlands 4, having a healthy supply of Cash is essential for stocking up on ammo, buying crucial gear from vending machines, and ensuring you have enough funds for respecs and other in-game purchases. While money is relatively easy to come by, especially during the campaign, it can disappear just as quickly if you're not careful. For Vault Hunters who want to stay rich and keep their inventory full of the best gear, a reliable money-making strategy is a must. Fortunately,
Borderlands 4 offers an efficient and repeatable method that turns your quest for powerful loot into a source of unlimited income. Here’s a simple trick to ensure you never have to worry about running out of Cash again.
Borderlands 4: How to Get Unlimited Cash
The Most Efficient Way to Get Cash
The easiest and fastest way to get money in
Borderlands 4 is to farm bosses or
Ripper Drill Site encounters. This isn't just about the Cash that drops directly from enemies; it's about the value of the loot they drop. The key to this strategy lies in a new feature:
Moxxi's Encore Machines. These machines, located near every major boss arena and Ripper Drill Site, allow you to instantly reset the encounter for a small fee. The cost of using an Encore Machine is negligible compared to the potential profit. Once you've defeated a boss or cleared a Drill Site, simply pick up the most valuable pieces of loot—typically purple and legendary rarity items—and sell them at the nearby vending machines. A single purple-rarity weapon can often be enough to break even on the Encore Machine fee, while a handful of blue or green items will easily put you in the black. The more you repeat this process, the more Cash you'll accumulate, turning your loot hunt into a highly profitable venture.
Best Farming Spots for Maximum Profit
While you can farm any repeatable boss encounter for Cash, somelocations are more profitable than others due to the quality andquantity of the loot they drop. Focusing on these specific spots willnot only net you a ton of money but also give you a chance at some ofthe best early-game legendary weapons.
- Sidney Pointylegs at The Prospects (Fadefields): This is arguably one of the best farming spots in the entire game, even after you've finished the campaign. Sidney is the boss of The Prospects Ripper Drill Site in the Hungering Plain. His attacks are easy to dodge, he has a massive weak spot, and hespawns small, easily killable robots that are perfect for a Second Windif you go down. Most importantly, he has a chance to drop The Swarm, a legendary grenade that unleashes target-seeking darts on impact. Notonly can you sell multiple copies of this grenade for a huge profit, but getting one will also make farming other bosses significantly easier.
- Bramblesong in the Abandoned Auger Mine (Terminus Range): Bramblesong is another excellent boss to farm for both Cash and a powerful legendary weapon. He is located in the Abandoned Auger Mine in the Stoneblood Forest region of Terminus Range. Bramblesong drops the legendary Convergence shotgun, a weapon known for its immense damage to a single target. Both The Swarm and Convergence are fantastic on any Vault Hunter, making them highly desirable drops.
- Any of the three optional Vault Bosses: The three Primordial Guardians found in the main vaults—Inceptus, Origo, and Radix—offer some of the highest odds for legendary loot drops. While getting to them requires collecting Vault Fragments, the payoff is immense. Not only will you get multiple legendary dropsto sell, but you also have a chance at their exclusive class mods andother high-value gear.
- Story Bosses: Don'toverlook the bosses you encounter during the main story missions. Thanks to the Encore Machines, any main story boss can be farmed repeatedlyfor both gear and Cash. Early-game bosses like Splashzone in the Coastal Bonescape are especially good for quick, early-game farming since they are so easy to beat and have a nearby Encore Machine.
Other Money-Making Strategies
If you need a quick Cash injection but don't want to engage in a full-onboss-farming loop, there are other methods to keep your wallet full:
- Complete Contracts: As you progress through the campaign, make sure to grab contracts fromthe bounty boards found in safe zones. These short, simple tasks rewardyou with a good amount of Cash and experience, and many of them can becompleted passively as you work on other missions.
- Sell Unwanted Gear: As a looter-shooter, Borderlands 4 will constantly shower you with weapons and gear. A quick way to makemoney is to regularly sell all your unwanted common and uncommon itemsat a vending machine. Use the "Mark as Junk" feature to quickly tagitems for sale and offload them to keep your inventory clean and yourwallet full.
By combining the efficiency of Moxxi's Encore Machines with strategic loot selling, you can ensure that you always have an endless supply of Cash to fund your adventures on Kairos. Now, go forth and make it rain!
