Every Bastard Sword has a unique name, a related quest, and an associated upgrade. Learn how to obtain the Bastard Sword in Citadelle des Morts below, so that players can experience the thrill of hacking, slashing, and parrying against the relentless undead hordes.
Players have to focus on opening the map as soon as possible in order to get the Bastard Sword. This is the very important step that will help players turn on the Pack-a-Punch Machine to start the other phases of the easter egg. Furthermore, players will be able to enter the secret Alchemical Lab room, connecting Dining Hall and the Sitting Rooms. Opening up Pack-a-Punch will cost around 7,500 Points, so focus on clearing paths before Round 10.
Players are most interested in the main attraction within the castle, which is the Dining Hall. In this room, players will find the Vulture Aid, with four stone statues of knights, which will be explained further in the next steps.
Kill a Templar Helmet Zombie After Round 10+
As you explore the castle and traverse the expansive map of Citadelle des Morts, keep your eyes peeled for a thrilling surprise: a zombie may randomly appear, donning the iconic helmet of a Templar knight. Round 10 and beyond is when things get really interesting, and the Templar knight zombie will be part of your way to the Bastard Sword. Defeating this beast of an enemy will net you a nice Stamp. From there, players can obtain the Stamp, which is the crucial key to unlocking a Bastard Sword. If the Templar zombie refuses to spawn for you, make sure you're at least on Round 10 and take your time running around the castle as you wait for him to spawn. The Templar zombies do not belong to the main horde; they are separate entities that appear at random times.
Interact with any Stone Knight Statue Using the Stamp
With the Stamp in hand, head to the Dining Hall, where you will find four knight statues, each one proudly bearing a different crest. The crest on each knight serves as an emblem of the sword enhancement players can gain by using the Stamp on the statues. Players can select their swords with ease, and no one, including solo players, will be left behind, since all players can obtain all four swords within a single playthrough.

After players engage with their selected knight, they simply need to move closer to the knight who will be extending their blade. Players can equip the blade, seamlessly replacing their designated melee weapon. To equip the Bastard Sword, simply hold R3. Players have the option to return the sword to the statue if they wish to reclaim their original dedicated melee weapon or exchange it for a new Bastard Sword.
Players can enhance the power of the Bastard Swords by utilizing the Melee Macchiato Perk-a-Cola, located in the Courtyard room that leads to the Village Ramparts.
