The newest chapter in the
Battlefield saga returns to the series’ time-honored four-role structure, and perhaps no role is more critical to securing victory than the versatile Assault class. As the designated frontline operative, the Assault player is expected to push capture points, sustain intense firefights, and utilize cutting-edge gadgets to maintain momentum. To truly master this role, however, players must navigate a rigorous set of in-game trials: the Assault class challenges. These carefully designed challenges serve a dual purpose. First, they guide players into effectively utilizing the latest suite of powerful gear introduced for the class. Second, they act as a tiered progression roadmap, culminating in highly desirable rewards, including epic cosmetic items, unique player titles, and, most importantly, some of the most potent weaponry available to the class. If you aim to dominate the battlefield and unlock that prestigious free skin, knowing how to efficiently tackle these milestones is essential.
Battlefield 6: Complete All Assault Class Challenges
The Initial Ascent: Assault Class Fundamentals
The journey toward full Assault proficiency begins once you hit the twentieth level of progression in the game’s multiplayer system. This unlocks the initial three-part objective series, known simply as the Assault Challenges. These early trials focus heavily on the class’s mobility, self-sustainment, and utility. The first step in this roadmap,
Assault 1, requires a blend of general performance and specific gadget mastery. You must accumulate a significant
10,000 total score through standard gameplay actions. More uniquely, you need to secure
30 eliminations while actively utilizing the Adrenaline Injector. This gadget grants a swift burst of healing and movement speed, turning you into a temporary juggernaut. Mastering the timing—activating the Injector just before diving into a contested area—is key to racking up these kills. Successfully completing this step immediately rewards you with the
QLink 6 Deploy Beacon, a tactical tool that is crucial for the next phase.
Assault 2 immediately puts your newly acquired Deploy Beacon to the test, demanding team-focused play. The first requirement is to have
50 different squadmates utilize your deployed beacon as a tactical insertion point. This encourages placement in strategic, yet relatively safe, locations near objectives. The second, more aggressive requirement is to achieve
20 kills or assists on enemies who are currently disoriented or concussed—typically achieved by working in tandem with teammates using various flash, stun, or concussive grenades and gadgets. By helping your squad push forward, you are rewarded with the
Frontliner Training Path, signifying your growing expertise. Finally,
Assault 3 focuses entirely on the explosive capabilities of the Assault role. This milestone asks you to inflict
2,000 damage using any type of grenade. This is a straightforward task, but it requires consistent use of your lethal explosives in high-traffic zones or against grouped enemies. The rewards here are cosmetic: the
Explosive Entry Player Card Icon and the
Gunning for Glory Character Patch. To conquer these foundational challenges, the best advice is to gravitate toward
objective-based game modes like Conquest. Choose
large, sprawling maps where there is ample opportunity for score gain, frequent use of the Adrenaline Injector, and strategic placement of the Deploy Beacon to maximize squadmate utility.
Mastering the Frontline: The Assault Expert Trials
Once you have successfully proven your competence by finishing allthree regular Assault challenges, the game unlocks the truly demanding Assault Expert Challenges. These trials are designed to test your resilience, aggression, and specialization with the most powerful late-game gear.
The first expert trial, Assault Expert 1, is a pure test of frontline domination. You must earn a total of 40,000 score—a substantial general progress requirement—but the primary focus is on aggression. Players must get 50 eliminations while actively contesting objectives. This means you must be inside the capture zone, fighting for control, when the kill is earned. This forces you into the thick of the fray, differentiating you from perimeter players. The monumental reward forthis effort is the SS26 Incendiary-Round Shotgun gadget, a devastating new tool.
Having unlocked your prize, Assault Expert 2 forces you to specialize. This challenge requires you to inflict a staggering 5,000 damage using only the Incendiary-Round Shotgun. This fire-spreading scattergun deals damage over time, making iteffective for clearing rooms and flushing out entrenched enemies.Maximizing this damage means committing to the weapon in close-quarterscombat for multiple matches. Upon completion, you earn the Push Forward Player Card Background, showcasing your fiery prowess.
The final and most comprehensive hurdle is Assault Expert 3, which combines long-range lethality with hyper-aggressive close-quarters skills. First, you need 100 kills or assists using the Grenade Launcher. This gadget is excellent for suppressing enemies and dealing indirectdamage. The second, more difficult requirement is to achieve 30 Close Quarter kills within a single round. CQC kills are defined as tight-quarters engagements, demanding map knowledge and hyper-aggression.
Unlike the initial challenges, the Expert tier is best tackled by shifting your strategy toward fast-paced, high-intensity modes such as Rush or Escalation, typically played on smaller maps where CQC opportunities are more frequent. Since the Expert challengesare less reliant on the actions of squadmates, you have more controlover your individual progression speed. Furthermore, if you are playingin a ruleset that permits an open weapon playlist, veteran players canstrategically leverage non-Assault weapons—those they are mostcomfortable with—to rapidly secure the Close Quarter eliminations, though you must still be playing the Assault class itself.
The payoff for this final push is significant: the Get Loud Character Skin (NATO) and the Scorcher Character Skin (Pax Armata), alongside the Vanguard Player Card Title. Finishing this entire progression path not only equips you with thebest specialized gear but also marks you as a true master of the Battlefield 6 frontline, ready to lead any squad to victory.
