Many players, however, encounter a common point of confusion: the Operator displayed in the background of your Profile screen doesn't change automatically. You might have unlocked awesome new character skins, but your profile still shows the default appearance.The solution isn't found in the Profile menu itself. This guide will walk you through the simple, yet easily missed, steps to change your display Operator and ensure your profile reflects your preferred style.

Step-by-Step: Setting Your New Display Operator

The key to changing your profile's background character lies within the Loadout menu. Follow these steps:
  • Navigate to Collection & Loadout: From the main menu, head to the section where you manage your classes and equipment (often labeled "Collection" or "Loadout").
  • Select a Class: Choose any class (Assault, Engineer, Recon, etc.) that you wish to customize.
  • Locate the Operator Model: On the loadout screen, you will see a 3D model of your currently equipped Operator. Hover your cursor over this model.
  • Edit Appearance: A prompt should appear, typically indicating to "Edit Appearance" or "Change Operator." On a PlayStation controller, this is usually done by pressing L3 (Left Stick). On Xbox, it's LS (Left Stick), and on PC, you'll likely click a button on the screen.
  • Choose Your Operator and Skin: This will open the Operator selection screen. Here, you can browse allavailable Operators for that specific faction and class. Select the oneyou want and apply any unlocked skins.
