The Yellowbands, a group of outlaws sporting yellow armbands, present a lucrative bounty opportunity in Avowed's first major city, Paradis. This guide details how to locate and defeat this group, offering strategies and tips for success.

Avowed: How to defeat the Yellowbands

Finding the Yellowbands:

After accepting the bounty in Paradis, the Yellowbands' location will be marked on your map. They reside in a series of ruins northeast of Usher's Hand. A quick way to reach them is by heading north from the Southern Embrace Party Camp. Look for ruins atop a hill to the north of your camp – that's your destination.

Infiltrating the Ruins:

You have two options for entering the Yellowbands' hideout:

Right Flank: Circle around the ruins to the right. This path leads to a door at the back of the area, placing you within the camp near some tall grass ideal for stealth.

Left Flank (Secret Passage): Go left and climb the rocks. You'll find a wooden platform. Ascend it, crawl through the passage, and climb more platforms. This route puts you inside the base from a different angle, with fewer immediate enemies but less cover.

Combat Strategy:

Stealthily eliminating a few enemiesbefore the main engagement is possible, but be warned: if a stealthattack doesn't result in a one-hit kill, the entire group will bealerted.

The Yellowbands consist of eight enemies:

• 2 Young Brown Bears
• 1 Brown Bear
• 2 Yellowband Outlaws (Bow)
• 1 Yellowband Outlaw (Mace)
• 1 Yellowband Outlaw (Sword and Shield)
• 1 Yellowband Outlaw (Wand)
• 1 Yellowband Outlaw (Axe)

This encounter can be challenging, so adjusting the difficulty is a viableoption. Kai will assist you, drawing some of the enemies' attention.

Target Prioritization:

• Ranged Threats: Focus on eliminating the two bow-wielding outlaws and the wand user first. Their ranged attacks can be a significant nuisance.
• Bears: The bears are aggressive and can quickly overwhelm you. Deal with them early to minimize pressure.
• Sword and Shield: The sword and shield wielder is less dangerous offensively but can be difficult to take down. Consider leaving them for last.

Tactical Approach:

• Kiting and Crowd Control: Use frost magic (Blizzard) or throwable items to slow down and control the enemy's movements.
• Cover: Utilize the environment (buildings, elevated areas) for cover and tactical advantage.
• Stamina Management: Don't overextend your attacks. Reserve stamina for dodging.
• Kai's Health: Monitor Kai's health and revive him when necessary. His tanking ability is crucial for absorbing damage.

Loot and Rewards:

• Yellowband Armbands: Ensure you loot all the yellow armbands from the fallen outlaws.These are required to complete the bounty. Check carefully, as they can be easily missed in tall grass.
• Treasure Chest (Campfire): A locked chest near the campfire requires 3 lockpicks to open. Itcontains valuable loot, including Gold Scellings, crafting materials,and more.
• Treasure Chest (Building): Inside one of the buildings, you'll find a treasure chest containingthe unique Arcanist's Gambeson +2 (a great item for spellcasters) and apiece of Adra.
• Other Loot: Search the bodies of the defeated Highwaymen (located at the far sides of the camp) for additional loot.

Claiming the Bounty:

Once you've collected all the armbands, you'll be notified that the bountycan be turned in. Return to the Bounty Master at the Eastern ParadisGate Beacon in Paradis and claim your 500 coin reward.
