What to know about the true ending in Animal Well?
Completing the main story is a relatively easy task and should take no more than five hours. However, the development of events was not at all simple. After the credits roll, players will have more mysteries to solve if they want to see the true ending of the game. Players will not need to find all of the items to complete the main story, although it can certainly make life much easier. The first thing you need to do is find all the tools that are still missing, since some of them will be necessary to defeat the real final boss. They then embark on a collecting marathon, since finding all the secret eggs is the key to unlocking the true ending and to help us we have the support of this guide and the following content.
How to Get the True Ending in Animal Well?
Once players have found all the secret eggs, they will need to return to the egg room. When you do this, you will see the door in the upper left corner of the screen slowly open, allowing you to go through it and access the chest on the other side. In the chest you will find egg number 65, necessary to reach the true ending.
With egg number 65 in hand, players should return to the area where they first fought the Manticore and head to the left side of the room, towards the platform just below the green light. Using the UV flashlight will reveal a drawing of Apex, and using Apex will open a secret passage leading to the left. Upon entering this new area, players will find an incubator and will be instructed to place an egg as they approach it. If egg number 65 is placed in the incubator, a new Manticore will hatch from it and, like the previous one, will chase the player. You can take him almost anywhere on the map and have him destroy crosshair blocks by shooting lasers at them. However, players won't have to stray too far from their current location to unlock the true ending of Animal Well.
The player must go one screen right and then reach the upper right corner of the room, where they will find a small alcove blocked by four breakable blocks. They should have Manticore destroy them, then use the top of the alcove to reveal a wheel and a large Manticore block. To raise or lower the block, you must use the Wheel device as quickly as possible. It doesn't matter if they die afterwards, so unless they escape immortality, there's no need to worry about taking damage.
After moving the Manticore block, the player returns to the incubation area and notices the breakable blocks on the left side of the room. They'll also want the Manticore to destroy them and then use a remote control and a beach ball to overcome obstacles blocking their path to the agencies. Once there, they must play the animal's flute while standing next to it, which will cause the Manticore to devour them.
Players will then be taken to a new area where they will control the Manticore. Once the second set of credits starts flowing, you'll have to follow a large stretch of terrain until you reach the top, where you can land the Manticore. Then simply press the four yellow buttons to activate the large black disk, you can use this disk to return to the area between the clock and the top of the hole. Believe it or not, there is still a lot of work to be done, even if the road here is technically 100% completed.
