Many are wondering how to catch a horseshoe crab or who knows what other kinds of marine species more than now appear at the bottom of the sea in the game. In this article we will only focus on teaching you everything you need to know to catch the horseshoe crab.
Depending on the species you want to catch, this can appear throughout the day, or a specific time, in the case of the crab it would be option 2 so you have to dive in bubble points between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m. local time. In addition to that the crab can only be found during July-September in the northern hemisphere and January-March in the southern hemisphere. If you manage to catch a horseshoe crab, you can either sell it for 2,500 bells or donate it to the new underwater section of the Blather museum.To start swimming, you must buy a wetsuit, if you have it perfect, so you can go to the beach to start the hunt. From there, simply head to the ocean and press A to jump.
Swim as much as you can and when you see a bubbling spot in the water it's a sign that you can dive below the surface to catch a creature. Just press Y and your character will disappear and reappear with a random sea creature in hand.
Similar to catching fish, there will be shades of different sizes that will help reduce what kind of creatures you could catch. For the particular horseshoe crab, you'll want to look for medium-sized, slow-moving shadows.
