When you are helping Colony 4 in a quest in Chapter 3 you will learn a little more about the heroes and in this same quest, you will be able to unlock Hero Quests. When he is unlocked he will be able to join you and support your group.

To recruit him you will have to go to the character combat list, from where you will be able to add him as a seventh member with his own class. To make him part of your group you will have to go to the main menu > go to Heroes > select one of the heroes already unlocked by pressing the A button and to deselect them, you will have to press the right joystick.
