How to Unlock the Challenge


Activating the Tambourine Duo requires activating the KU-Kass robot inside Tethys Deep. In return, this unlocks the Data Hub, which includes Cass Cartridges to be scoured and returned. Reaching Level 4 in Data Hub highlights the Tambourine Duo on the map, which is southwest of the Modulation Hall Resonance Beacon.

Enemy Intel


Tambourine Duo is a powerful enemy and also a variant of regular Tambourinists. While their moveset is somewhat the same, they deal more damage, especially when you're within range because of their slash-type attacks. They will also deal AoE damage, indicated by violet circles that appear on the ground. In defeating these enemies, one needs to perform dodges quite often.

The art of evasion plays the main role in the victory against the Tambourine Duo. The critical strategies to put into action during this fight are as follows:

  • Fast Dodge: When the Tambourinists raise their arms to create a fan-like effect, roll away immediately; this will avoid the subsequent slash attack from them.
  • Circle Awareness: Be on the lookout for violet-colored circles appearing on the floor. These signal highly powerful AoE attacks and require a quick repositioning outside of their area of effect.

Defeating the Tambourine Duo rewards you with the prestige trophy "Bells, Solitude ＆ Solaris-3", an ultra-rare 5-star Echo, and a few Supply Chests of Standard, Advanced, and Premium quality.
