How to Get All Mistveil Forest Cures in Where Winds Meet

Embarking on the "Ephemeral Blight" quest in Where Winds Meet plunges you into the perilous, fog-shrouded Mistveil Forest. To survive the deadly Dawn-to-Dusk poison and lift the veil of mist, you must locate three crucial cure documents: the Wishing Cove, Hollow Abode, and Aureate Pavilion cures. This walkthrough will guide you through finding each one and completing your objective.

Starting the Quest and Securing the First Cure

Your journey begins east of Kaifeng City. As you explore the forest, you will be overcome by the venomous mist. After a cutscene where the NPC Zhai Xu rescues you, you'll wake up in his cabin.

Gather Key Items: Pick up the jade pendant near your bed and speak with Zhai Xu.

Search for Clues: Activate your Wind Sense ability inside the house to investigate. You will find two important books on a table.

Create a Distraction: Use the Meridian Touch skill on the wind chime hanging in the window. This will cause Zhai Xu to step outside, allowing you to safely take the books: Mistveil Forest Cures: Wishing Cove and Thousand-Wish Amendment.

Understand the Goal: After leaving the cabin, read the Thousand-Wish Amendment from your inventory. This reveals you need two more cures to dispel the forest's fog.

Locating the Hollow Abode Cure

The second cure is hidden within the Soulshade Umbrella - Post Station, a skill-theft dungeon located southwest of the main forest area.

• Infiltration: Enter the post station's courtyard and use Wind Sense (V) to track enemy sightlines. Scale the vines on the outside of the main building to access the second floor through an open window.
• Secure the Cure: Inside, turn right and find a staircase. Quietly eliminate the guard and locate the Hollow Abode Cure on a table illuminated by green candles. You can now leave or continue to unlock the Soulshade Umbrella weapon.

Finding the Aureate Pavilion Cure

The final cure is located north of Mistveil Forest at the Aureate Pavilion outpost, marked by a red icon on your map.

• Approach the Outpost: Travel to the Aureate Pavilion, east of the nearest Teleporter.
• Retrieve the Document: The cure is inside the central hut, surrounded by enemies. You canchoose to fight your way through or use stealth to slip past them. The Aureate Pavilion Cure is on a table next to a mummified corpse. Grabbing it does not require you to clear the outpost.

Crafting the Antidote and Finishing the Quest

With all three cures in hand, return to Zhai Xu at the Wishing Cove. He will begin crafting the antidote. After waiting two in-game days, you'llfind a note stating he has ventured into the forest's northern wastes.

Follow the Trail: Use your quest marker to find Zhai Xu and receive the complete Mistveil Forest Cure.

Navigate the Deep Forest: Use campfires to protect yourself from the poison as you push deeper.Clear a path by destroying Dawn-to-Dusk blooms with Fire Arrows.

Solve the Final Puzzle: Investigate the area with the large tree and hanging corpses. Defeatthe sleeping puppets and pick up the jade pendant. A sequence ofinvestigating clues and a mysterious Silver Needle Doctor will lead youto the source of the mist.

Destroy the Source: The final step is to enter a cavern and destroy the three coreDawn-to-Dusk blooms. Once this is done, return to Zhai Xu to completethe Ephemeral Blight quest and claim your rewards, finally freeingMistveil Forest from its toxic curse.
