The spectral landscape of the Ghostlight in Where Winds Meet holds more than just eerie atmosphere; it hides crucial quests and valuable secrets. One such task is the Jianghu Legacy – March of the Dead quest, which requires players to become spectral scavengers, tracking down three lost military relics: an Armor piece, a Helmet, and a Spear. Navigating the twisting paths and ghostly figures of the Ghostlight can be confusing, but with the right directions, you can secure these items efficiently and complete the legacy quest.This guide provides a clear, step-by-step route to initiate the quest, locate the key NPC Liu Changsheng, and successfully retrieve all three vital items without getting lost in the ghostly labyrinth.

Where Winds Meet: Find the Chest Holding the Three Items

Initiating the March of the Dead Quest

Before you can begin your spectral scavenger hunt, you must first ensure you have unlocked the quest.

• Complete the Prerequisite: The March of the Dead quest is locked until you successfully complete the preceding quest: Worldly Affairs: Bounty Trouble. This quest can be started at the Ghostlight Market.
• Advance the Clock: Once the Bounty Trouble quest is finished, remain at the Ghostlight Market. You must then change the in-game time to Mao hour (a specific early morning hour in the Chinese clock system).
• Activation: Changing the time to Mao hour while at the market will automatically trigger and activate the Jianghu Legacy – March of the Dead quest.

Starting the Hunt: Finding Liu Changsheng

Your adventure begins at the center of the spectral realm: the Ghostlight Market.

• Liu Changsheng’s Location: Head to the Ghostlight Market and look for the NPC Liu Changsheng. He is typically found near the stairs that lead up to the main path of the market area.
• The Mission Briefing: Speak with Liu Changsheng. He will inform you about the strange happenings and task you with retrieving three artifacts—the Armor, the Helmet, and the Spear—from a lost spirit.

You will now embark on a mission to retrieve these three items from three different locations within the Ghostlight.

Phase 1: Retrieving the Mountain Armour

The first artifact is found by heading right from your starting point with Liu Changsheng.

• Follow the Path Right: Starting from Liu Changsheng, take the path heading to your right.
• Pass Landmarks: Continue following this path; you will pass a prominent landmark, the Boundary Stone, and continue past a standing NPC.
• Find the Docks and Lanterns: Keep going until the path opens up into a dock-like area. Here, you will see a trail of green lanterns floating above the water.
• Follow the Green Lights: Use the floating green lanterns as your guide. They will lead you along the water's edge to a rocky outcrop at the end of the path.
• Claim the Armour: There is a treasure chest resting on top of this rock. Open the chest to retrieve the Mountain Armour.

Phase 2: Retrieving the Battle Helmet

The second artifact requires you to return to the starting area and head in the opposite direction.

• Return to Market: Head back to where you originally met Liu Changsheng.
• Take the Path Left: This time, take the main path heading to the left.
• Locate Nan Lugong: Continue until you reach a market stall (this is the known hiding spot of the NPC Nan Lugong).
• Find the Hidden Trail: Look to the right of Nan Lugong’s stall to find a small, distinct path. Follow it, once again sticking close to the guiding green lanterns.
• The Pier and the Chest: You will pass several ghostly figures (do not engage; just walk past them). Behind the figures, you will find a pier area with wooden platforms. The chest containing the helmet is located on one of these platforms. Open it to secure the Battle Helmet.

Phase 3: Retrieving the Iron Spear

The final and most complex item requires navigating upward through a series of stairs.

• Ascend the Stairs: Return to Nan Lugong’s stall. Walk slightly past it and locate the staircase on the side. Take these stairs up to the next level.
• Continue Left and Up: At the top of the first staircase, go straight and veer slightly to the left. Spot the next lantern up ahead, and then proceed to the next set of stairs leading further upward.
• Cross the Bridge: Once you’re up the second staircase, turn left and run straight. You will cross a bridge where a Spectral Soldier is standing guard.
• Find the Final Guide: Immediately past the bridge, you will see another lantern with an NPC named Xiang Gutong standing beside it.
• Grab and Sprint: Talk to Xiang Gutong. He will indicate the location of the Iron Spear, which is in a chest just ahead, right behind a group of Spectral Soldiers. When ready, sprint past the soldiers, quickly grab the Iron Spear from the chest, and then immediately run back, following your objective marker to safely return to Liu Changsheng.

With all three items secured, return to Liu Changsheng to complete the March of the Dead quest and claim your rewards, cementing your legacy in the spectral realm.
