What are the crystals in Valheim for?

As you may already know, the game was initially released as an Early Access version, so the developers aren't done giving everything a purpose.

In the case of crystals, it is one of those elements of the game, which does not yet have a purpose, but they do not do anything to it at the moment, but it exists and will surely have a use at any time. So it doesn't hurt to know where to find them.

The crystals will fall from the stone golems, they are fearsome rock-based enemies. They can appear randomly from the side of a mountain. These creatures have a bright blue glow around them, so it won't be hard to identify them.

There are two variants of these golems, one with a spear-shaped stone in the right hand and another where both hands are round stones. The key would be to stop their attacks with a withering blow, avoiding perforations and cuts, so we recommend using a blunt weapon.

When the golems die they will drop a small splinter-shaped crystal, which you must keep until you can use it.
