Continuing with our strong themes
for each special operation update,
we are thrilled to take you somewhere a little bit closer
You've taken on The Predator, backed Sam Fisher,
and tracked down Caveira.
Now, we think it's time to help out
some old friends in a community requested crossover
with past Ghost Recon titles.
We are very excited to combine the legacies of Ghost Recon
in Silent Spade, a brand new, free, PvE mission for you
to play in Ghost Recon: Wildlands.
In Silent Spade, you link up with the legendary Scott
Mitchell before joining with another familiar face, John
Kozak, who's actually on the field.
Now, Kozak made his appearance as the main character
of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.
He's a tech expert.
He's got a great sense of humor, but this is not
exactly the Kozak we know from Future Soldier.
This Kozak is a younger recruit.
He's only 21 at the very beginning of his career.
On the other hand, Scott Mitchell
is playing a crucial role in this mission.
Longtime fans will remember that Scott made his first appearance
way back in Ghost Recon 2.
It was important to us that the Silent Spade
mission in Wildlands was a worthy prequel
to Future Soldier.
And there are many hints we've placed within the mission.
It was around this time the ghost camo
suit, which would become standard in Future Soldier,
I hope players will be excited to see Kozak testing it
on the field, and then try it out for themselves
when they complete the mission.
In fact, the Ghost Recon team has
a lot of members who have been with us for a long time.
Their talent and knowledge has been
invaluable in shaping this mission for Spec Ops 3.
I started working on Ghost Recon in 2006,
with Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2, on PC.
We're really excited to involve Steve Blum, the original voice
actor for Scott Mitchell, in Silent Spade.
Of course, it was very important for us
that the players could connect with some
of their favorite Ghost Recon characters
from the previous games.
But it's even more than that.
Taking this voice that's been talking
to you for so many hours and bringing him again
in the wildlands--
it's an incredible feeling.
We are so lucky to have a strong community.
Yes, of course, because we've been here for a long time,
many people have been following Ghost Recon for many years.
And we always have newcomers joining us.
The first Ghost Recon game I worked on was Ghost Recon.
I wrote the manual for it.
The thing that makes Ghost Recon special and unique for me
is the moment before the shot.
A lot of games are about the shot, and the kill,
and the moment when you pull the trigger.
For me, Ghost Recon has always been about the moment
before you pull the trigger.
When you get that sense of owning the battlefield, where
you know that you have planned.
And you were going to triumph even if the other guy doesn't
know it yet.
Everyone who works on Ghost Recon: Wildlands
has access to this incredible internal wiki
we called the CIA, for Clancy Intelligence and Asset.
That has been assembled from years of work
on Tom Clancy titles and overseeing their return.
It houses all the information we have
about every single character, game, and location
within the Tom Clancy universe.
And we make sure that everyone who works on Ghost Recon titles
uses it as their game bible.
It is very important to us that we respect all
of the lore that's come before.
And we document closely all of the decisions
we make moving forward.
Thank you so much for your continued support
of Ghost Recon: Wildlands.
We hope you've enjoyed this behind the scenes look
into Special Operation 3.
And we can't wait to see you again for Special Operation 4.
