0:13
In Stellaris: Console Edition,
0:15
you set out to explore the
stars,
0:18
uncover the vast
wonders of the galaxy,
0:25
and expand your
empire into the unknown.
0:36
You are, however, not alone.
0:42
As you meet other civilizations,
you can decide to band together
0:46
in a federation through
diplomatic means
0:49
or attempt to wipe out the
galaxy through force.
0:55
You begin by
creating your own empire,
0:58
choosing the values that
determine what your population
1:00
believes and how your
civilization feels about
1:04
other life in the galaxy.
1:08
As a species who was discovered
faster than light travel,
1:11
you'll be sending your science
ships out to explore the distant
1:15
reaches of space,
discovering resources abroad,
1:18
establishing planetary
colonies to manage and grow,
1:22
as well as researching new
technologies that will make you
1:26
more productive or
possibly more destructive.
1:31
Once you begin to
colonize and expand,
1:34
you'll discover that life is
as plentiful as it is varied,
1:39
from primitive species yet to
walk among the stars
1:42
to advanced space-faring
empires much like your own,
1:46
each with their own
unique characteristics,
1:49
ideologies,
1:50
and charm.
1:53
As you and the empires
around you continue to grow,
1:56
you'll find yourself faced
with a new set of challenges.
2:00
Diplomacy will
become more prevalent.
2:02
Strategic
coordination, a necessity.
2:06
Preparing for the
unexpected, critical.
2:10
With the ability to
enact research agreements,
2:13
nonaggression packs,
2:14
federations,
2:16
trade deals and more,
2:17
you have a wide variety
of paths to explore
2:20
before things escalate into a
full-blown intergalactic war,
2:25
the goal of which is up to you.
2:27
Annex your enemies,
claim their systems,
2:30
or forcibly make
them your subjects,
2:32
slowly integrating
them into our empire.
2:36
However, when exploring the far
corners of the galaxy as a great
2:39
power, you might get reports of
other forces that threaten the
2:43
future of all interstellar life.
2:47
But you'll be left to
discover those on your own.
2:50
In Stellaris you'll discover
the secrets of the galaxy,
2:54
witness intergalactic wars,
2:56
rule grand and glorious empires,
2:59
and leave your species
mark among the stars.
