Assassins and Templars are coming to For Honor for a special three-week event titled For The Creed. Fight inside an Animus simulation, perform hidden blade assassinations, leap into conveniently placed bales of hay, and unlock exclusive Assassin’s Creed-themed gear and weapons from December 20 through January 10 on all platforms.
Carve a path of destruction through the battlefield fighting for guts, glory, and survival in For Honor, a new melee action game developed by Ubisoft Montreal in collaboration with other Ubisoft studios.
Enter the chaos of a raging war as a Knight, Viking, or Samurai, three of the greatest warrior legacies. For Honor is a fast-paced and immersive experience, mixing skill with visceral, never-before-seen melee combat.
The Art of Battle, the game’s innovative control system, puts you in total control of your heroes, each with distinct skills and weapons, as you annihilate all soldiers, archers, and opposing heroes who stand in your way on an intense, believable battleground.
For Honor offers an engaging campaign and thrilling multiplayer. Enjoy the full experience with friends online, in split screen two-player co-op, or solo against AI.
NARRATOR: If we've learned anything
from "Assassin's Creed," it's that nothing is true,
and everything is permitted.
Like "For Honor's" hulking shugoki performing
a swift assassination.
The event is called For the Creed.
It's gonna be anonymous simulation where
Abstergo will propose you to play as a knight, Viking,
And also playing with a bit of the "AC" stuff in our game.
It's going to last three weeks, where
the player will be able to play a specific game mode.
It's a modification on the dominion game mode, where
you will have to go in the center zone
where the soldiers are pushing each other.
And if you can control the zone, it
will spawn the general of the other team.
The game mode event will feature either the side
of the assassin as the attacker, or the Templars
as the defender.
So the general will be Ezio or Cesare.
[INAUDIBLE] respawn because your zone is pushed.
The soldiers have been killed.
Then you just have to kill the general,
and then you get points until you get
to a certain amount of points.
And you just have to kill the other team and you're fine.
So that was pretty cool for us to just use
these classic characters, to skin them in our game.
And you literally fight versus them
as if they were part of the "For Honor" world.
It's not an easy character that you have to fight normally.
It's just, it seems like more of a big boss
that you have to defeat every time.
For the first time we also have a finish skill
that is shared throughout all the characters, which
is the iconic killing with the hidden blade.
We changed the drop attack.
You have different minions.
All the maps that we use for the game mode event are also skin.
And what we did is we had an amazing range of possibilities
with all the weapons that were created
in "AC," in the "AC" games.
The people who knows the brand and who knows those weapons
will still recognize them.
NICOLA GODIN: We have stuff from pretty much all the games.
Which is weapons, some element for your emblem as symbols,
new outfit that is about either Animus, being a Templar,
being an assassin.
We have a new mask outfit that is also theme on a new AC LDC.
Everywhere you will go in the game,
you will feel that you are into like a Animus simulation.
CHRISTIAN DIAZ: You get in there and you know
that, OK, this is the Animus.
So we have "For Honor" in this kind of matrix,
which is the Animus, which is a good way
to welcome the players into this event.
A lot of glitches and different elements,
and even one that is hidden in the map on each of the three
NICOLA GODIN: It's a love letter for "AC," but also
for "For Honor" as well.
Because we tried to make sure that we respect the fan,
that we know they love these brands as well.
It's going to be available on the 20th of December 2018
for three weeks.
So it will end then on the 10th of January 2019.
