The first way to get affection is by reading the card stories, keep in mind that each SR and SSR card has a series of stories attached to it. When you get a card for the first time, you will only be able to access a certain part of its story, so if you want to access the rest you will have to evolve the card, which requires certain materials that you will get through study levels and by upgrading the card to a certain level.
