Improve your lightsaber skills with our guide How to Switch Between One-Sided and Two-Sided Lightsaber in Star Wars Jedi Survivor.

Are you a Star Wars Jedi Survivor player who wants to improve your lightsaber skills in combat? One of the key elements of mastering the game is knowing how to switch between the different stances available to you. In this blog post, we'll go over the five stances available in Jedi Survivor and provide step-by-step instructions on how to unlock and switch between them. We'll also share tips and tricks for mastering each stance and finding your own playstyle.

Overview of Available Stances

Before we dive into switching between stances, it's important to know what stances are available to you. In Jedi Survivor, there are five stances: Single, Dual, Staff, Blaster, and Crossguard. Each stance has its own strengths and weaknesses and is suited for different combat scenarios.

The Single stance is the most balanced stance and provides a good mix of offense and defense. The Dual stance allows for quick strikes and increased damage output but sacrifices defense. The Staff stance is excellent for crowd control and provides good range but can leave you vulnerable to attacks from the sides. The Blaster stance allows you to deflect blaster bolts back at enemies but sacrifices lightsaber combat abilities. The Crossguard stance is a defensive stance that allows you to deflect attacks from multiple angles but sacrifices offense.

Unlocking the Blaster and Crossguard Stances

The Blaster and Crossguard stances are not available at the start of the game and must be unlocked first. To unlock the Blaster stance, you must complete the Archives mission on Jedha. This mission can be accessed from the main menu and requires you to defeat several waves of enemies. Once completed, the Blaster stance will be unlocked and available to use.

To unlock the Crossguard stance, you must defeat a mini-boss on the Shattered Moon of Koboh. This mini-boss can be found in the Dark Temple and can be accessed once you have completed the main story mission on the planet. Defeating the mini-boss will unlock the Crossguard stance and make it available to use.

Tips for Mastering the Stances

Each stance has its own strengths and weaknesses, and mastering them can take time and practice. Here are some tips and tricks for mastering each stance:

  • Single: This stance is the most balanced and provides a good foundation for learning lightsaber combat. Use it to practice parrying and timing your attacks.
  • Dual: The Dual stance sacrifices defense for increased damage output. Use it to quickly take out enemies or bosses but be prepared to dodge attacks.
  • Staff: The Staff stance is great for crowd control and keeping enemies at a distance. Use it to take on multiple enemies at once or to take out enemies from afar.
  • Blaster: The Blaster stance allows you to deflect blaster bolts back at enemies, but you sacrifice lightsaber combat abilities. Use it to take out enemies from a distance or to deflect incoming blaster fire.
  • Crossguard: The Crossguard stance is a defensive stance that allows you to deflect attacks from multiple angles. Use it to defend against multiple enemies or to counterattack after a successful block.

Experiment with each stance and find the one that suits your playstyle. Different combat scenarios may require different stances, so be prepared to switch between them during gameplay.

Switching between stances is a key element of mastering lightsaber combat in Star Wars Jedi Survivor. By unlocking and practicing with each stance, you'll be better prepared to take on enemies and bosses. Remember to practice and memorize the hotkeys for switching stances and experiment with different approaches for different combat scenarios. May the Force be with you!
