Our guide today aims to explain Where To Find Artifacts in STALKER 2.

There are all types and kinds of gear and equipment to be discovered within S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl, but gamers shouldn't forget to hunt some artifacts, as those happen to be one of the most valuable types of goods. Indeed, with its help, stats and radiation, chemicals, electricity, and even bullet resistance may be substantially enhanced for some artifact.

Stay tuned, as this walkthrough will teach you where to find Artifacts and how to grow them in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. First things first, we'll go over the basics: how the Detector works and how to detect anomalies.

Where To Find Artifacts in STALKER 2?

Anomalies and artifacts are interconnected. If there is an Anomaly, such as a large field of Toxic Fumes or Magnetic Distortions, players should make use of the Detector accordingly.

Two major functions are being carried out by the Detector. If players manage to approach the location of an anomaly, they will hear a beep while a blinking blue light shows up in case they pass close to an artifact. You should, however search only those areas around the Anomaly zones that have the Blue Light turned on because all of them do not contain the Artifacts.

Anomaly zones can be seen everywhere on the map. Search for larger ones, because they tend to lead to a concealed artifact.

Artifacts will remain hidden until players approach the exact spot of their location. The mechanic works similar to a "mine detector" mini-game.

There are multiple types of outliers that players should consider, including:

  • Thermal Anomalies: Fire flames shoot upwards from the ground when players draw too close.
  • Gravity-caused anomalies allow warping of space and can teleport or launch players into the air. Players will notice that as they draw closer to the Electro Anomalies, electrical sparks will burst from the ground. Acid Anomalies: Pools of strong acid that vaporize anything that draws near. Their sparkling yellow color allows for easy identification.
  • Chemical Anomalies: Deadly green clouds float through the area, and the air becomes toxic. A hallucinogenic gas variant of this phenomenon is also possible.
  • Leaf whirling anomalies: the leaves spin in a cyclical fashion. Players risk injuries and launch themselves into the air if they go too near.
  • Magnetic field anomalies: shards of glass levitate in the air, and bullets cannot pass through them. Trying to pass through them will cut and bleed the players.
  • Water anomalies are bubbles of water that, when the player approaches, burst, sucking in air around them. Popular in the swamp region and other wetland areas.

Be on the lookout for these, as they will each correspond to a specific sort of Artifact; investigate the locations where they manifest in order to acquire these valuable artifacts.

Remember, aside from the Detector, players can throw a Bolt towards an anomaly to make it explode. They only have to wait for that brief time before it resets to progress.

Artifact Farming in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl

The Artifact Farming system in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.2 Heart of Chornobyl revolves around two secrets. Of them, one is called "Find an Artifact, which is a Repeatable Quest given out exclusively by bar owners, explaining how to actually make an artifact spawn.

In addition to a quest to locate X artifact, players will be receiving hints in their PDA. For example, imagine the tavern owner from Zalisya, Warlock assigns Find Battery Artifact Quest to the players.

Once the preparation is complete, it is time for anomalies-Players head to special anomaly zones called Electric Anomalies. The next secret hint-now we are here-requires each type of Artifact having an "elemental Anomaly," and each anomaly can host several types of Artifact.

Save before picking up an artifact that you come across in an anomaly. Since the artifacts are generated randomly and will keep respawning in the same spot until picked up, players can save scum until they find the item they are looking for.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.2 Heart of Chornobyl: Can Artifacts Respawn?

Short answer: yes. You must do everything in your power to avoid Emissions—these are deadly storms—simply because these make the artifacts, other than the Find X Artifact Quest, pop up again with every single one. When the radioactive fallout has gone down, players can leave their hiding and head out into the places they have gathered artifacts previously. Because the emissions occur randomly, players cannot do this very frequently; rather, they have to plan an efficient farming route by writing down the positions of anomalies that contained artifacts.

Fortunately, the nearest faction will always broadcast a warning when an emission occurs. This way, players will know when to cower in safety and when it is safe to re-emerge to hunt for artifacts again.
