The journey

Regular enemies in Stalker 2 cannot be looted with the Shah's Mate SMG. The 'No Honor Among Thieves' side quest in the Garbage area is where you can find it, though. You must use caution while fulfilling the mission, as the weapon could be unavailable to you if you make the incorrect decision.

The side task has two entry points. One way is to visit the Slag Heap Settlement and talk to a man called Huron. He will show you where to find a cluster of buildings. To begin the quest using the second approach, you can come across these premises on your own. A long-winded mystery will unfold as you embark on a journey to unlock a house by scaling a digger to its roof.

You will receive a call from Huron when you have explored the roofs and connected the pieces. If you tell him what's going on, he'll urge you to finish an upcoming shipment. To formally begin the quest, accept this offer.

Docent

Docent, a man Skif meets during the journey, will attempt to explain what happened in the house right away. If you can save his life, he'll offer to part with the Shah's treasure. Obtaining the Shah's Mate in Stalker 2 requires you to accept this offer. You will be unable to access the stash when Docent turns hostile and dies if you reject it.
