In Stalker 2, a quality suit of armor is crucial to surviving, however the default Leather Jacket isn't very good at protecting vital organs from slashing teeth and gunshots. Lucky for them, there's a free Debut Suit available early on that players can obtain; it's not great, but it's an improvement.
In most cases, players will need to splurge on armor from certain vendors. A free suit, though, is waiting for players near the beginning area, same like in the original Shadow of Chernobyl. This suit of armor isn't going to stop you from gushing blood in Stalker 2, but it should do the trick. It is located here.
Upon arriving at the settlement, locate the house depicted in the image up above. Break through the boarded-up entrance doors using your knife or the butt of your revolver, and you'll find yourself in the living room. The Debut Suit, which should be in pristine shape, is stashed on a table in the corner.
You should bring a shotgun in case any mutants or Bloodsuckers decide to jump you.

After you complete the game's opening scene, you can go there, but before you do, stop by the town to sell any loot you discovered or gather supplies for side missions. Does the Debut Suit Qualify?
Those Stalkers who have recently entered the Zone are the intended target, as the name implies. It provides some protection against most things, with the exception of psychic harm. This shouldn't be a problem in the beginning areas because there aren't any psychic threats. The majority of the active enemies in this area inflict physical damage, thus having access to additional upgrade options and somewhat higher Physical Protection than the Leather Jacket is a huge plus.
Early Access to Where to Get a Free Bandit Jacket
Located in a basement of the depot northwest of Zalyssia, the Bandit Jacket is a somewhat less desirable substitute for the Debut Suit. In the basement, you should see a doorway bearing the white house emblem. Enter the improvised safe room by descending the stairs and making your way through the corridor. Somewhere within, you should have the jacket.
While it's marginally superior to the Leather Jacket, the Bandit Jacket is marginally inferior to the Debut Suit. But the resale value of this armour piece alone makes it worthwhile to acquire. You can sell this and the Leather Jacket at Zalyssia for a decent price, which will provide you plenty of money to fix or upgrade your gear in Stalker 2.
