Where to find comet rocks in Spiritfarer?

For this valuable material, there are only specific areas to be able to collect them, that added to certain events where said material appears. These locations can be found in the lower right section of the map marked with sparkling water and a specific symbol that looks like shooting stars.

And that's not all, you will also need to meet Giovanni and have the Rock Destroyer upgrade from Albert's Shipyard. Giovanni will introduce you to the Comet Shower event and the Rock Destroyer is needed to travel to the bottom right of the map.

The Rock Destroyer requires 10 aluminum ingots, 8 marbles, 6 fiery glow, and 2 spirit flowers, and Giovanni can be found progressing through Astrid's quest line. Linked to this, Astrid can be found in Bottom Line Corp. where you will have to complete a mission for her to join.

If you have everything you need, you will need to travel to the center of this location and talking to Giovanni will start the event for you. You will know you are in the right place if the world suddenly changes at night.

For a limited time, comets will fall from the sky and land on your ship. You will have to walk on them to acquire Comet Rocks.

Depending on the design of your boat, the kites will land a little differently, but their difficulty is still not that high. You can usually end up with a fair amount of Comet rocks at a time, so you won't have to do this too often.
