Individual portals within Soulmask
With the help of player-placed teleporters called Personal Portals, you can quickly move between any two points in Soulmask. These can be placed anywhere, unlike Mysterious Portals, making them very adaptable for short and medium distances.
Advantages:
- Personal portals are ideal for creating shortcuts between frequently visited locations because you can place them wherever you want.
- Pressing a button is all you need to use them once set up.
Cons:
- When teleporting, there cannot be anything in your inventory. Everything else needs to be emptied, but items from the hot bar or equipped equipment are acceptable.
- When a mount is deployed, you cannot teleport. Before you can use the Portal, they must be stored.
- Make sure you have a mount to help you carry the heavy portal pieces out of the dungeon.
Unlocking personal portals
In Soulmask, you can obtain personal portals by collecting components from particular dungeons, such as the Sacred Ruins and Ancient Ruins. Each portal requires three pieces to assemble, and they are often defended by formidable enemies or hidden by dungeon puzzles. As you approach each section, make sure you're ready to fight or problem-solve. Most dungeons are designed to be played with bronze gear. However, if you approach them with one or two other players, everything will be fine.
To obtain iron chunks and upgrade to iron weapons at consciousness level 35, consider running it more than once. Without them, the last boss can be extremely difficult. Don't forget to bring high-quality appetizers like steak, smoked ham, fried pumpkin rings, and fried tacos. Once you've collected three or six components, return to your campfire to assemble a Personal Portal.
Mysterious portals
Mysterious Portals are pre-arranged teleportation locations spread across the different Soulmask biomes. These portals are great for long-distance travel and are usually located in strategic areas, such as near bosses or important landmarks. The map is home to six different mysterious portals in total.
Advantages:
- Mysterious Portals allow you to transport items and mounts, making them perfect for moving supplies and allies.
- They are ideal for navigating the huge map, especially to and from isolated or hard-to-reach places.
Cons:
- Mysterious Portals cannot be placed anywhere, unlike Personal Portals. You must work within the locations indicated.
- Each Portal requires collecting and using green crystals, which can be a bit tedious.
How to open enigmatic portals
In the Soulmask universe, a Mysterious Portal can only be opened with three green crystals. While you can find these crystals throughout the game world, if you're looking to farm them quickly, try searching Ancient Ruins, Barbarian Fortress, Ancient Ruins Dungeon, Large Ancient Ruins, and Sacred Ruins for chests that contain. On the other hand, they constantly fall from the Temple Guardians. After obtaining the crystals, power up the Portal so it can join your fast travel network. To move between the departure and destination Portals, you must activate both.
