How to craft the sled in Sons of the Forest

The first step on your journey to create the sled is to locate the 3D printer at the Green GPS location south of the crash site and northwest of the cave marked on your map tracker. When you arrive, you’ll find a small cave containing the printer. Inside the room, you’ll be able to choose what you wish to craft using the 3D printer and Printer Resin. The sled requires 1,000 Resin and likely a majority of your stock, so it’s important to gather more Printer Resin at the Green and Purple GPS locations throughout the island before you attempt to craft the sled. 

Once you have gathered the necessary resources, you can craft the sled at the 3D printer. You’ll need to select the “Craft Sled” option and then select the type of sled you want to build. You’ll then be prompted to insert the required Printer Resin. After inserting the resin, select the “Start Print” button and the printer will begin creating the sled. This process can take up to several hours, so you should ensure that you have enough time and patience to finish the job before you begin. 

After the sled has been printed, you need to assemble the components of the sled. First, attach the four support bars to the sled’s frame. Then, attach the seat and footrest. Finally, you need to attach the handlebars to the frame. Be sure to secure all components properly to ensure that the sled is safe and ready to use. 

Once the sled is finished, you can take it out for a test run. The sled can be used to travel across the island, but it’s important to keep in mind that the sled is not indestructible. You’ll need to be careful when navigating obstacles, as the sled can easily be damaged or destroyed. Take your time and enjoy the journey as you explore the island.
