Among the most intriguing are Bone Scrolls, ancient relics scattered in hidden corners that hold the key to a valuable currency. This comprehensive guide will detail exactly what a Bone Scroll is used for, where to find the earliest ones, and how to unlock the ability to trade them.

What is the Bone Scroll Used For in Silksong?

The Bone Scroll is a key trade item. Its primary purpose is to be exchanged for Rosaries, the currency used to purchase valuable upgrades and items from merchants throughout Pharloom.
To convert your found Scrolls into Rosaries, you must locate the Relic Seeker Scrounge, an NPC located in the settlement of Bellhart. He is a collector of historical artifacts and will gladly pay 50 Rosaries for each Bone Scroll you bring him. He also accepts other rare relics you may find on your journey, making him a central hub for funding your upgrades.

How to Reach the Relic Seeker and Lift the Bellhart Curse

Finding Scrounge is only half the challenge; you must first complete a major objective to gain access to him. Upon your first arrival, you will find Bellhart shrouded in a curse, its citizens unresponsive, and Scrounge unavailable.
To lift the curse and activate the town, you must complete The Threadspun Town Quest. This involves defeating a powerful boss known as The Widow. Here’s how:

Travel to Shellwood: Use the area's elevator to reach its highest point. If the elevator is not yet activated, platform upwards through the area until you find the upper entrance.

Navigate the Upper Bellvein: You will find a path blocked by a pile of bells. Destroy them to proceed into a series of narrow, challenging tunnels filled with enemies.

Prepare for The Widow: Before engaging the boss, it is highly recommended to unlock any nearby shortcuts and rest at a Stagway Station or bench to create a closerrespawn point.

Defeat the Boss: Conquer The Widow to break the curse over Bellhart.

After the battle, an elevator near the boss arena will provide direct accessto a now-lively Bellhart. You can now speak with all NPCs, includingRelic Seeker Scrounge, who is eager to do business.

Where to Find Early Game Bone Scroll Locations

While many Scrolls are hidden in late-game areas, you can find your first few relatively early in your adventure.

• Far Fields Scroll: Shortly after acquiring the Drifter's Cloak ability from the hot balloon areas, look for a wind current. Use it togain height and locate a lava bulb. Strike it to make it explode, whichwill reveal a hidden corpse containing the Bone Scroll.
• Greymoor Scroll: From the Halfway Home resting bench in Greymoor, head east. Look for a hidden path thatrequires swimming. Follow this aquatic route and then descend todiscover another remains holding a Scroll.
