After creating your character for the first time you will be able to choose two emotes to start the game. After the first mission and when you have unlocked the open world, you can start using gestures.

The two initial gestures will be mapped to the lift and right directions on the D-Pad for both PlayStation and Xbox. But if you are a PC user you will have to press the C and V keys to use the emotes.

To change the emotes you have equipped you will need to use the style app on your in-game phone. Within the application you will find an option called "personality", in which you can change the voice of your character and the two equipped emotes.
