This corrupted being possesses a unique transformation mechanic, shifting between a stable, ranged form and a chaotic, high-damage melee form based on his corruption level. Unlocking this formidable character is a key goal for many players, and it’s achieved by completing the "Dragged Below" challenge. This guide will walk you through the two primary methods to conquer this challenge and add the Void Fiend to your roster.

Prerequisite: Understanding the "Dragged Below" Challenge

Before you can play as the Void Fiend, you must complete the "Dragged Below" challenge. The game description is simple, but the execution requires skill and perseverance. You have two distinct paths to choose from, each with its own set of challenges and rewards.

Method 1: Defeat the Voidling in the Planetarium

This method is considered the most direct path and involves a challenging boss fight. Your goal is to reach a hidden area called the Planetarium and defeat the boss that resides there, the Voidling.

How to Reach the Planetarium

Gaining access to the Planetarium requires navigating the Void Fields and activating a special event. You have a few ways to get there:

Find a Void Portal: After completing certain stages, a Void Portal has a small chance to spawn randomly. Interacting with it will take you to the Void Fields.

Activate a Void Cradle: A more reliable method is to find a Void Cradle (a interactable objectthat costs Lunar Coins) on a stage, which will always open a VoidPortal.

The Secret Frog Route: After defeating the final boss, Mithrix, on the Commencement stage,return to the very beginning of the level. Find the strange frog-likecreature and interact with it ten times. This will open a hidden portalthat transports you directly to the Void Fields.

Completing the Void Locus

Once in the Void Fields, your objective is to locate and activate four "Deep Void Signals." These are interactable nodes scattered around the area.After activating all four, you must defeat the resulting "Void Locus"event—a dense horde of powerful Void enemies. Surviving this onslaughtwill open a final portal that leads directly to the Planetarium.

The Final Boss: The Voidling

The Planetarium is a unique and treacherous stage with one purpose: to host the Voidling boss fight. This is a multi-phase battle against aformidable foe. Defeating the Voidling is the final step for this method and will instantly complete the "Dragged Below" challenge, unlockingthe Void Fiend.

Method 2: Survive 50 Waves in the Simulacrum (Void Fields)

For players who prefer a marathon to a single boss fight, the Simulacrumgame mode offers an alternative path. This endless wave-based modeprovides a consistent, though lengthy, way to unlock the character.

Entering the Simulacrum

The Simulacrum is accessed through the main menu. It is a separate gamemode where you face endless waves of enemies, with the difficultyscaling over time.

The 50-Wave Survival Strategy

Your objective here is straightforward: survive 50 consecutive waves.However, this is easier said than done. The challenge escalatessignificantly as you progress.

• Standard Waves: Waves 1-4, 6-9, etc., will feature a mix of standard enemies that grow stronger and more numerous.
• Boss Waves: Every fifth wave (5, 10, 15, etc.) is a boss wave. You will face one or more powerful boss monsters. You must survive a total of five boss waves and the 45 waves in between.

This method tests your endurance, item synergy, and ability to manage theever-increasing difficulty curve. Successfully reaching the end of the50th wave will complete the "Dragged Below" challenge and grant you theVoid Fiend.
