This title presents a new challenge better known as Blackout, where you must complete the mission "Defeat the guardian of the golden coast without deactivating any beacon". When completing the mission you must meet one of the secret leaders of Risk of Rain 2 for a quick murder.
What is the Gilded Coast in Risk of Rain 2?
It is the area to which you can access by paying an insignificant amount of gold to the golden statue that is on a level before activating the teleporter. When you find the teleporter you must activate it to defeat the boss and a golden portal will appear next to it.
How to beat the guardian of the Gilded Coast without deactivating the beacons in Risk of Rain 2?
If you jump through the portal you will be transported to the golden area where several high level enemies await you. What you will have to do is locate seven beacons in the area, activating them will generate Aurelionite, the head of the level. You must bear in mind that the character you use has to have an attack and speed potential to defeat the boss effectively, since when activating the last beacon, you can damage the boss but for a limited time. So to unlock this challenge you must hurry up and defeat the boss before the beacons stop working.
And in this way you will have defeated the guardian of the golden coast without deactivating the beacons in Risk of Rain 2. Good luck!
