In the harsh, unforgiving environment of REPO, survival hinges on cooperation. The planet's relentless monsters pose a constant threat, and the loss of a teammate can severely compromise your mission's success. When a player falls in battle, their robotic avatar is reduced to a "Broken One"—a stationary, silent testament to the planet's dangers. However, all hope is not lost. Reviving downed teammates is not merely a matter of pressing a button; it's a strategic, collaborative effort that demands teamwork, resource management, and a thorough understanding of the game's mechanics. This guide delves into the intricacies of reviving your comrades and maintaining a robust team in REPO.

The Peril of Becoming a Broken One

Upon being eliminated by the planet's formidable creatures, a player's robot is rendered inoperable, leaving them as a "Broken One." This state imposes severe limitations: the player is unable to move, interact, or even effectively communicate. Furthermore, Broken Ones are automatically removed from the in-game voice chat, isolating them until they are revived or the round concludes. This vulnerability underscores the importance of swift and effective revival.

The Revival Process: A Step-by-Step Guide

Reviving a teammate in REPO is a multi-stage process that requires careful coordination and resource allocation.
  • Locating the Fallen Comrade:
    • The first step is to locate the "Broken One's" head, which is typically found near their point of elimination.
    • Utilize the in-game map (accessed by pressing TAB) to pinpoint their last known location. A distinct dot, matching the player's character color, marks the spot.
  • Retrieving and Transporting the Head:
    • Once located, retrieve the head as you would any other item.
    • Transport the head to the designated extraction platform. This platform serves as the central hub for revival efforts.
  • Meeting the Loot Quota:
    • Simply placing the head on the extraction platform is insufficient for revival.
    • Players must contribute a specific amount of loot to initiate the revival sequence.
    • The amount of loot required depends on the game mode and difficulty.
    • Track your progress using the on-screen indicators: an arrow points towards the platform, and the top-right display shows the remaining quota.
    • Larger teams can distribute the loot collection burden, making the revival process more manageable.
  • Respawning and Initial Health:
    • Upon fulfilling the loot quota, the revival process commences, and the fallen teammate respawns at the extraction point.
    • However, they return with only 1 HP, leaving them extremely vulnerable.
    • The revived player must enter the truck located at the extraction point to increase their health to 25 HP.
  • Full Health Restoration:
    • To fully restore their health, the revived player must safely return to the service ship.
    • Upon reaching the ship, their HP is replenished to its maximum, allowing them to rejoin the fight at full strength.

  • Consequences of Failed Revivals

Failure to revive a teammate carries significant consequences. A "Broken One" is left with no recourse but to await the outcome of the round. If the remaining team members successfully reach the service ship, the "Broken One" can participate in the next round. However, if the entire team is eliminated, everyone is forced to restart from the beginning.

    The Drawbacks of Automatic Respawning

Automatic respawning in subsequent rounds presents its own challenges. Playerswho are not revived at the extraction point will return with only 1 HP,placing them at a severe disadvantage against the planet's hostileinhabitants.

Team Health Sharing: A Temporary Solution

REPO offers a team health-sharing mechanism to mitigate the risks associated with low HP. Players can transfer 10 HP to a teammate by positioningthemselves behind them, right-clicking, and pressing the left mousebutton. This can be repeated as needed.

    • Strategic Health Management:
      • While health sharing is a valuable tool, it's crucial to monitor your own HP, displayed in the top-left corner of the screen.
      • Maintain a balance between supporting teammates and ensuring your own survival.
      • It is always preferable to revive a teammate via the extraction point, rather than relying on constant HP sharing.
    • Optimal Revival Strategy:
      • Prioritize reviving teammates via the extraction point. This ensures they returnwith a more substantial health reserve, enhancing their survivability.
      • Coordinate with your team to efficiently collect loot and transport the fallen player’s head.
      • Maintain constant communication to alert teammates to fallen comrades and coordinate revival efforts.

Mastering the revival mechanics in REPO is essential for team success. Byunderstanding the process, coordinating efforts, and managing resourceseffectively, players can overcome the planet's challenges and ensure the survival of their squad. The ability to bring back fallen comrades isnot just a gameplay mechanic; it's a testament to the power of teamworkand cooperation in the face of overwhelming adversity.
