Sulphite is one of the most important resources for late-game Path of Exile players, making it extremely lucrative and rare. This guide will go over all ways to get Sulphite, along with increases in Sulphite Storage and Sulphite Deposits. If you’re new to Path of Exile, this guide may not be needed for you, as Sulphite is one of the late-game mechanics; however, if you want to get to know what sulphite is and how to get it, stick around and impress your friends with your knowledge on Sulphite. Without further ado, let’s get this article underway about why players want Sulphite and how we can increase your Sulphite input. If you enjoy Path of Exile, check out our news section for tailored guides on how to get the most out of your time playing Path of Exile.

What is Sulphite in Path of Exile?

Sulphite is a Delving material, allowing players to travel between undiscovered locations within the Axorite Mine. The Axorite mine is a great way to earn loads of Axorite, meaning Sulphite is an incredible resource to get you Axorite. Axorite is used in a multitude of ways, from buying necessary materials to increasing Sulphite and various other material storage.

How To Gather Sulphite

Sulphite is no easy task to obtain, and the answer will leave you a bit disappointed.  To mine Sulphite, players must happen upon the Sulphite deposits within Dungeons. The amount of Sulphite obtained depends on a few factors, namely the level of the dungeon and the level of the Atlas tree skills (check out our guide on the Atlas Tree Build for more information on that). If you’ve optimized your Sulphite collection in the Atlas Tree build, along with competing through higher-level dungeons, you may happen upon higher quantities of Sulphite. We recommend taking all Sulphite increases early in the Atlas Tree to reap the rewards early on.

Tip: Remember to go for dungeons in the Atlas Region for the highest chances of Sulphite mines
Using Niko The Mad to Mine Sulphite

Once the player has happened upon a Sulphite Deposit, Niko the Mad will begin to mine the resources directly into the player's inventory. Finding Niko also means that there is a guaranteed drop chance of Sulphite within that dungeon, which acts as a way for players to not miss out on the highly sought-out gear.

Scarabs for Sulphite Increases

Now that we’ve gone over a brief outlook of Sulphite Gathering, we need to maximize our Sulphite input gains; as such, we will look into Scarabs, specifically the Winged Sulphite Scarab.
The Winged Sulphite Scarab increases sulphite gains by upwards of 100%, that’s almost a necessity for Sulphite farming. In order to unlock the Winged Sulphite Scarab, you will need to progress through the Cameria in the Intervention branch of safehouse rewards. Either that, or you will need to buy Scarabs. Regular low-level scarabs also increase sulphite rewards, so make sure you buy or obtain them through any means necessary.

Tip: Each Scarab gives 20% more sulphite per level of Scarab, so even having the lowest level one helps by 20% (Get them early!)

Sulphite Storage

Last but not least in regards to Sulphite is Sulphite Storage. This article has gone over many ways to increase Sulphite generation, but what happens when you’re in the middle of a map, get a large deposit of Sulphite but can’t loot it due to lack of storage? Or even worse, have to travel backward and forwards, wasting precious time lugging Sulphite around. The solution to this is simple: Get more Sulphite Storage Space. When you are low level, you will not have access to these solutions, but the more Azurite you gain, levels, and general late-game progression, you will have access to gaining more Sulphite Storage.

Increasing Sulphite Storage

As discussed previously, running out of space wastes much-needed delving time or even just time in general; we recommend upgrading Sulphite Storage as soon as possible to gain the benefits early on. To increase Sulphite Storage, you will want to use Azurite at the Voltaxic Generator to increase Sulphite storage capacity. It’s as simple as that, just hand in some Azurite from all the Deposits you’ve been delving into and increase that capacity.

Tip: We recommend getting a minimum of 10 storage increases to allow deeper delving into mines.
