After the first checkpoint of the level, you can encounter a ramp and two sets of stairs, Cruz will go on foot on the sets of stairs, waiting for that high five.
What you need to do is to jump over the ramp in front of Cruz and pass close to them to get a high five, you will immediately have to leave before reaching the next set of stairs. So jump before the ramp to high-five them.When you hit them the lanes of the route will split, with a split arrow letting you know that you can change route. The next step is to grind the big rail to get more speed, so jump and switch rails as required.

Complete the run without hitting the board at the end of a jump, until you get the notification that you completed "Cross high-five and finish without hitting".
