In order to level up you will need to gain a certain amount of forma power by completing forma exclusive quests.

When you complete any quest you will have to go to the quest menu, redeem the quest to get the FP for your form. You'll need to get enough FP to fill the FP bar in the quest menu, which will level it up and unlock a new skill, a new form, or even both with a bit of luck.

You should note that almost all forms will only be levelable to rank "C" or "B" before completing the Witch Queen Catacombs and Ancient Robot dungeons, as their forms will run out of quests. But you will be able to access new quests by completing both dungeons,

Each form has six ranges, at the bottom is "F" > "D" > "C" > "B" > "A" > "S". Certain forms must reach certain ranks to unlock other forms.
