At the start of NieR: Automata, you're dropped into the middle of a mission in 2B. After you've landed your flying unit and readied for battle with melee weapons, you'll have access to both a one-handed and a two-handed sword.
The Virtuous Treaty is a two-handed sword with decent power that you'll soon be deprived of once the prologue is over. You can retrieve it anytime you want once free roaming becomes available to you in the next chapter, even though you've lost the weapon for now.
How To Get The Virtuous Treaty Back in NieR Automata?
This is the first supplemental weapon that can be acquired in the game, and it is directly adjacent to your first spawn point upon emerging from the bunker onto the surface. Looking to your left, as you descend to the lower region from the city ruins, you'll notice a highway that passes directly over the closest entry point. Charge down towards the highway, jump on ruins for leg up and run along the main road of highway. At the very end, this route will take you to the factory.
Head downstairs to the manufacturing floor, head along the green pathway out to the main building. A little way along, on the left are a doorway and some stairs up to upper level. On the top level, to your left, is the bridge that collapsed when you defeated the Goliath-class enemy. Run to the end of the broken bridge and you will see the Virtuous Treaty stuck in the ground, ripe for the picking.
Your corpse from before is lying to the right of the sword that contains all consumables you had in the prologue, and can be looted.
Overview of NieR Automata's Virtuous Treaty Base Stats - Strike: 300–330, Lt 2 and Hv 2 together: This sword is, like most two-handed weapons, sluggish to attack but specializes in broad strikes that hit numerous adversaries at once and deal a lot of damage. If you can make the slow attack speed work, this weapon-with the right upgrades-is capable of one of the largest damage distributions in the game. If you're fighting with a quicker weapon and you want to utilize a heavier assault, you can combo this two-handed weapon with it. Although this weapon's attack speed is slow, you can still take use of its high damage by using brief attacks in faster combos. However, you won't be able to get a full combination from it.
