Thanks to the success of This War of Mine, which was recently released on Nintendo Switch, the 11 bit studios team, developer of the videogame, has given the great news that they donated more than half a million dollars to the War Child charity. UK. Revenues were generated through a DLC for charity that was launched four years ago, in which fans could get graffiti created by world-famous artists. The money collected from the purchases was destined in its entirety to the organization to War Child.


With this contribution of This War of Mine, it has helped children living in war zones, improving the conditions of protection, as well as favoring the construction of a new branch within the War Child organization dedicated to working with the world of videogames, and that even the date has increased more than 2.5 million dollars. With all the proceeds, around 4,300 children have been helped in countries such as Iraq, Yemen, Afghanistan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The title was inspired by the siege of Sarajevo between 1992 and 1996 during the Bosnian War, this video game is different to most war-themed video games, as it focuses on the civilian experience of the war rather than the combat first line The team of 11 bit studios confirmed that This War of Mine will not have a sequel.
