To obtain this tool you will have to go into Ashbourne Village and find the boss in the area; Uryks, Necklace of Ears > for this you will have to access Ashbourne Village > head west until you find Root-Ceil Cavern > enter and head west until you reach the bottom of the cave > then go east, until you find Uryks' lair in Greymoss Look.

Here you will have to eliminate Uryks and explore the rest of the area in search of the Grappling Hook. To find it you will have to go east to a cave entrance > head west > go down the steep steps to the end > look for the corpse inside which is the Grappling Hook.

Now to use it, you will have to look where you want to go > aim and jump while holding down the button to launch the hook. If there is a ledge to hold on to, it will help you propel yourself up.
