The first thing you need to know is that these arts are similar to Weapon Skills in the Souls series, as it will allow you to gain additional skills for weapons that you can use in combat. Almost every weapon in Salt and Sacrifice has two Runic Arts slots, and the abilities are divided into Rage and Focus, which you can activate by pressing the corresponding one for the Runic Art function to use.

Focus will take away quite a few focus points, so if you're not low on focus stats, we recommend upgrading them from the skill tree to be able to use them. Consuming Haze decoctions is another way to fill up your focus gauge.

When you have a weapon that requires rage, you can build it by attacking any enemy.

Regarding the Focus and Rage Arts, you will have to unlock the level in the skill tree to be able to use it.

Rage Runic Arts, requires you to unlock the path to Divine Glyph and Focus requires Forbidden Glyph. These skills will be in the bottom right panel of the central skill tree. Identify the type of rune art on a weapon by accessing it in the inventory, then use the right trigger to access the weapons menu.
