This time we will talk about the first volume of Batman and the Justice League, where we will meet the most popular heroes of the DC Universe in the form of manga characters.

So, if you thought that you had already seen everything about the Dark Knight, you are not sure, DC came to present us a new adventure in manga format. It is a new series that brings together not only the Knight of the Night, but other popular DC heroes such as Flash, Superman, Cyborg, Wonder Woman and Aquaman.



In this way we begin the first volume of the manga

DC Comics has been behind the Japanese manga, in terms of the supervision of the characters and their plot. Something that we realize immediately when we open their pages and start reading, because the adventures of the most knowledgeable Dark Knight will soon be located chronologically. The story begins after the famous comic Batman: A death in the family (whose comic will be covered in another article), that is, after the death of Jason Todd at the hands of the Joker. A young man named Rui Aramiya arrives in the city of Gotham to try to get answers in relation to the disappearance of his parents. This character will soon discover the dangers that abound in the city, but for your luck, Batman will appear in the rescue, who is looking for the evil Joker. However, what both ignore is that, somehow, the villain is behind the disappearance of the parents of Aramiya, and it seems that strange currents of power called ley lines are the main reason for everything.




Script and manga drawings

Shiori Teshirogi, author of the Saint Seiya manga: The Lost Canvas was in charge of the script and the drawing. In fact, if you look at the characteristics of the faces of the characters in this manga, they have much similarity to those seen in that split of the Knights of the Zodiac. Although this is the first volume, it does not have much action since its plot has just begun, we have several pages in which we can enjoy with some very good close-ups of Batman / Bruce Wayne, Joker, Superman and the rest of the members of the League of Justice, although the latter, hardly appear in this first issue, with the exception of the Man of Steel.

On the other hand, what can be one of the main virtues, could also become one of its biggest drawbacks, because its style, so the "manga" comes to the comic format to which we are accustomed. As soon as we see great illustrations of the Joker showing his most threatening face, while we find others of the character with a much more tender aspect that is far enough away from the terrifying and demented aspect of what this villain usually does. That and some typical clichés of the manganime could make those who are not accustomed to this type of reading do not give it a chance.





The characters of the West are mixed with the style of the East in this new DC manga, whose first volume has been well received by fans, showing another way to see the DC superheroes.
