The measure was executed on the same day by the Telecommunications Authority of Nepal who allegedly ordered the ISPs to block all Internet traffic originating from the PUBG servers to prevent anyone from playing the game.

But recently a report of the Supreme Court of Nepal noted that the game was used by the public for entertainment, in addition to the fact that the measure could infringe the rights of citizens to freedom and prohibit it would require the government to prove that the action is fair and reasonable and does not affect the freedoms of residents.





The petition to lift the ban argued that, if someone is playing the game over the Internet, then the ban would be related to their freedom of expression and while the government of Nepal has the power to impose reasonable restrictions on freedom of expression, for what the prohibition to PUBG was not really well argued and reasoned.
