Controversy is what the players of the newly released Mortal Kombat 11 have been causing since they learned that Mileena would not be in Mortal Kombat 11.
Milena has been one of the most beloved characters among the fans of the whole saga, such has been the love towards Mileena that fans have shown their disagreement with his disappearance in the saga and that is not even seen in at least one scene short of this new delivery.
Characters like Reptile appear in Krypt, others even appear at the end of the towers of certain characters and this has angered even more the fans of Mortal Kombat 11, because Mileena is not even mentioned in the credits.

But this has a why.
But to be able to know we have to play the spoilers for Mortal Kombat X.
The reason why Mileena isn't in Mortal Kombat 11 is so simple that almost nobody came up with it. Mileena is dead.
If we go backwards and get to the facts of Mortal Kombat 10, many will remember that D'Vorah kills Mileena in a rather appalling way.
Even, in part of the story mode in Mortal Kombat 11, Kitana and Shao Kahn make reference to the death of Mileena.
Of course, some fans will point out that the nature of time travel in the story of Mortal Kombat 11 means that there is no real excuse for Mileena not being in the game, because some characters that have already died appear in Mortal Kombat 11.
It's nothing to rejoice, after all these are just rumors that are circulating, but Mileena could return in Mortal Kombat 11 as DLC, but even if it really is not what the developers expected to do from the beginning, surely they will consider it after the controversy formed by fans, but let's take it with a little salt.
Ed Boon has used his official Twitter account to mock the torias that many conspirators have published about the true disappearance of the iconic character in the fight saga.
The consolation for the players in case he never returns, is that Kitana inherited some traits, of course he could still be back, but for now we can not do more than wait.
