How to get an empty bottle in Legend of Zelda Link’s Awakening?

When you find yourself fishing on the north side of Mabe Village, you will notice that an empty bottle is in the lower left corner of the lake. To get it, you must throw the line by pressing the A button.

After that, you will need to slowly bring the bottle to the surface, holding down button A, making sure you are away from the other fish in the water, otherwise the bottle will fall. So to prevent this from happening, it is best to catch some fish previously.

Once you get your bottle, you must open the menu with the + button and then go to the item's tab by pressing R. There you must highlight the new fairy bottle and then press X or Y in order to assign it.

This will allow you to capture a fairy and keep it inside every time you encounter one. The fairy will heal when you need to use it.
