Far Cry New Dawn Review: The Evolution after Far Cry 5 - Ultimate Guide

Far Cry: New Dawn is a first person and open world game developed by Ubisoft that is available for different platforms, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft PC. This installment is the direct continuation of the events experienced in "Far Cry 5" (2018), so the scenario that is shown is a particular and original post-apocalyptic environment.

In New Dawn we return to Hope County, Montana, where previously we tried to recover the mountainous city from the nuclear attack, but in the end the results were unfortunate (spoiler alert), because the bombs fell and humanity is on the verge of extinction.

 After 17 years of that nefarious event, with the new delivery of Ubisoft you will be in a County of Hope that struggles to resurface after the destruction. New Dawn has implemented many innovations so that the player finds himself with a fun and challenging feeling before the adventure of knowing what the history and the new elements hold.

This county was already a rather terrible and complicated place in "Far Cry 5", where the Project at the Eden Gate practiced a death cult and was in charge of a large part of the region, making use of the drug toxic "Bliss".

 After the nuclear catastrophe surprisingly the ecosystem had a radical change, from being a wasteland to a place where there is a super bloom, with a design full of colors inspired by the 80s.

But as is normal already in the deliveries of Far Cry, the evil in humanity comes up again, but this time it's twin sisters, Mickey and Lou, who take power from an organization that cause a lot of chaos, the group called "Men of the Road". Those who will see to it that tranquility is not restored in this post-apocalyptic world in Hope County.

 The few people who survived will have to struggle to build their new home, so their base of operations was called Prosperity.

 

In "New Dawn" as if that were not enough, the death cult of the previous installment also returns, only this time they refuse to use technology and learned to live among nature, in addition, they fight against the group of twins.

Although the delivery of Far Cry 5 seemed to be aimed at addressing the sociopolitical context of modern America, where violent militias were emerging, drugs were gaining ground and people were overwhelmed by an overwhelming impotence in the face of the situation. It turned out in the end that that title did not finish facing those subjects concretely, because the deepening was not very present in the game, so the players ended up shooting the bad ones for the simple fact of being bad, concluding with the devastating destruction of the world.

 

In itself, New Dawn wanted to make a noticeable change, allowing you to venture into this colorful Hope County with great freedom to face the Highwaymen the way you prefer. Although the enemies are still less friendly in this installment, since from the beginning they are shown as complete maniacs who do not mind causing chaos and steal the supplies of those who try to survive. On the other hand, something new is the inclusion of these women as the leaders of the enemy group to give a different touch to what was previously customary.
